These terms apply to the public website and the BookDuel reading service. Our privacy notice explains how we handle information.
What the service provides
We create daily problem-led editions for general learning. Each explores selected concepts from two nonfiction books through a short teaser, a 5–7-minute main read and an optional 10–12-minute deep dive. These are independent explanations, comparisons and applications, not complete books or substitutes for the original works.
Editions distinguish authors’ arguments, our applications and independent evidence. They are not medical, financial, legal, or other professional advice. Consider the source, context, and limits of an idea before acting on it.
This is a test release. Content is delivered only after editorial approval. Assignments depend on suitable approved content, your preferences, and availability. A particular topic or language may have no available paired edition; uninterrupted access or a new edition every day is not guaranteed.
Your account and choices
Use an email address you control and keep your sign-in codes private. Do not share access to another person’s account or attempt to access their assignments or personal information.
You choose your reading preferences and can change them in the app. Native notifications are optional and depend on device permissions, the enabled delivery provider, and your settings. Web access does not imply app-store approval or availability.
Respectful, lawful use
Do not misuse authentication, evade access controls, interfere with the service, or upload material without the required rights. Books, summaries, artwork, and source material remain protected by applicable intellectual-property rights.
Access to a summary does not grant permission to republish, redistribute, or commercially exploit it. Permissions granted by applicable law remain unaffected.
Independent retailers
Purchases of original books are optional and take place with independent retailers. Their own prices, availability, privacy notices, and terms apply. We identify affiliate links when present; an affiliate relationship does not mean we process your retail purchase.
Leaving or getting help
You can download your account data and delete your account in Profile. Our account-deletion page explains both the in-app route and how to make an email request.
For access problems, content concerns, corrections, or questions about these terms, contact support@bookduel.co. These terms do not remove any rights you have under applicable consumer or data-protection law.
Independent comparisons and community responses
Daily editions apply selected concepts from two nonfiction books to an independently created problem. They are not the original books and do not imply author or publisher endorsement. Community choices are self-selected opinions, not proof, professional advice or an objective verdict. One final answer is recorded per account and poll version; results may remain unavailable while too few people have responded.
